The Ford Scorpio is an executive car that was produced by Ford Europe from 1985 to 1998 in two generations. It was the replacement for the European Ford Granada line. Like its predecessor, the Scorpio targeted the executive car market.
The Scorpio was intended to maintain Ford's position in Europe as the principal alternative to a Mercedes or BMW for those looking to own an executive car. The customer was able to choose between more than fifteen different engines and six transmission combinations during the two generations. Since it is an executive, it can fit up to four passengers comfortably and is able to become any family’s daily driver.
