In 2013, Nissan unveiled the INFINITI Q30 concept as a premium compact hatchback for its luxury brand INFINITI. The production version, which entered the market two years later, utilized Mercedes-Benz’s third generation A-class platform. So, there are a lot of shared similarities between the two.
The INFINITI Q30 offers multiple choices between 1.5 - 2.2-liter diesel engine and 1.6 - 2.0-liter petrol engine. The gearbox is either manual or automatic with the standard 6-speed and 7-speed (courtesy Mercedes) transmission respectively. The collaboration between Mercedes and Nissan in this model is evident in the speed, ease of operation and relatively noiseless engine of the Q30. This gives it an edge over rival SUV models that are predominant in Europe. While it still has ways to go in terms of performance, it is a respectable car choice for anyone.
