5 Best Cars to Buy During the Summer Holiday

By Daisy Emah-Emah Updated: 05/08/2022 Posted: 07/01/2021

It’s almost summer… and If you’re the adventurous type, a road trip by car, truck or bike would most likely be at the top of your list of activities.

A truck in most cases would be a gas guzzler so you may want to shy away from that. The feel of the breeze as you go fast and furious on your bike is pure bliss but then again, where will the rest of the family or friends you are planning that road trip with fit?

That narrows it down to a regular sedan or SUV/SAV.

So what car/SUV  is safe, reliable, and just perfect for a memorable summer road trip?

Whatever vehicle you eventually settle for, be sure to confirm that it is comfortable enough for you,  should be able to travel long distances with enough luggage space and great fuel economy, and overall deliver an exciting but safe driving experience.

If you’re going with the family – your summer vehicle must be able to stand being messy and being poked at especially if you. So a leather interior might be worth considering!

We understand it can get pretty confusing and overwhelming so we put together a list of 5 summer-worthy vehicles for you to choose from. That won’t break the bank…. well, maybe a little *wink*

1. Subaru Crosstrek

Subaru Crosstrek packed quite a punch for the best small and inexpensive SUV in a class of compact vehicles. It is easier to park because it is smaller and more maneuverable than an Outback – is presumed to be safe, dependable, and a great non-sport car with a manual transmission.

It handles 34 miles on the highway which gives it a sporty feel. For road trips, Crosstrek is built with a Symmetrical All-Wheel drive and ground clearance of 8.7 inches. The Crosstrek convey good fuel economy, a competent, enjoyable, and impressive comfort ride

2. Jeep Wrangler

If you want to go anywhere or do anything the Wrangler is your best bet. The Wrangler is a combination of rugged and comfortable. You can have the best of both worlds – excellent off-road capabilities and comfort – maybe not as other SUVs.

The Wrangler offers a convertible experience with a two-door and four-door configuration. In the summer you can take off the roof and doors and enjoy the wind hitting your face directly as you travel.

The Wrangler has excellent ground clearance, water fording, articulation, maneuverability, and traction. It is your classic American World War II battleship.

3. Ford Mustang

Nothing says summer like taking a Ford Mustang down the coastal line on a cruise. With its 460 horsepower V8 which is responsible for the Mustang roar, you can pull down your roof and enjoy yourself.

It has P235 tires on 18-inch wheels with a 6-speed manual transmission. The cabin of the Ford Mustang is a combination of retro style and convenience. It is an excellent choice for a summer cruise with a friend or two or a trip by yourself.
